At one point, the flames were reported to have reached a height of about 60 meters, demonstrating the blaze's extreme intensity.
David Eby, the Premier of British Columbia, described the situation on the ground as "extremely dangerous and changing by the hour," warning that "the fire is moving at an unbelievable speed."
He also remarked that the wildfire site "looked like a bomb had exploded."
Currently, a state of emergency has been declared across the entire province of BC, where a total of 105 wildfires are happening simultaneously. Disaster response authorities have urgently dispatched more than 2,000 personnel, including firefighters and building protection specialists, to focus all efforts on containment.
