Jongsik Heo Elected as Chairperson of Incheon Democratic Party Chapter
The Incheon Metropolitan City Chapter of the Democratic Party of Korea held its regular party member convention at the Incheon Namdong Gymnasium on August 8 and elected Assemblyman Jongsik Heo (representing Dong-gu-Michuhol-gu Gap in Incheon) as the next chapter chairperson.

Assemblyman Heo was elected as the city party chairperson, defeating former Assemblyman Sungman Lee and Assemblyman Ilyoung Jung in an election held among party members with voting rights and national delegates. The term of office for the city party chairperson is two years.
In his acceptance speech, Assemblyman Heo stated, "Our Incheon is a proud city that has produced a President," and pledged, "As chapter chairperson, I will make this the most exemplary city party organization in the country."
