The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that as of 1:20 p.m. on August 8, a heavy rain warning has been issued for Pohang and Yeongdeok.
A heavy rain warning is issued when rainfall is expected to exceed 90 millimeters in three hours or 180 millimeters in twelve hours. Such conditions result in rain so heavy that visibility is greatly reduced, and precautions should be taken against flooding and other accidents.
