The Toegyewon 5 District covers approximately 19,180 square meters at 272 Toegyewon-ri and the surrounding area in Toegyewon-eup. The redevelopment project is being promoted as the area meets the requirements for designation, such as the number and total floor area ratio of old and deteriorated buildings.
During the briefing session, the city released the draft maintenance plan to residents, including changes in zoning, the arrangement of apartment complexes and infrastructure, road widening, and the creation of parks and green spaces.
In particular, the plan includes securing a small park and landscape greenery of about 1,200 square meters, and creating both pedestrian spaces and child drop-off/pick-up zones around Toegyewon Elementary School to enhance student safety.
The city plans to supplement the draft maintenance plan by reflecting opinions collected through public viewing and consultation results with related agencies. After that, the plan is to seek the city council's input and proceed with the Urban Planning Committee review, followed by final decisions on the designation of the maintenance area and the maintenance plan.
