Receives Briefing on Supply-Promoting Financial Policies and Early Housing Provision
President Lee Jae-myung instructed on August 7 that, regarding real estate policy, “Do not cling to existing ways of thinking. Make transformative judgments and approach things boldly in both thought and action.”
According to chief presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung in a written briefing, President Lee chaired the “Second Real Estate Policy Review Meeting” at the Blue House that day and delivered this message to Prime Minister Han Sung-sook and the ministers of relevant departments.

View original imageDuring the meeting, which lasted about six hours, President Lee was briefed on the direction and measures for financial support to promote housing supply, as well as strategies for inducing and supporting the early supply of real estate. The discussions mainly focused on dramatically expanding the supply and implementing it swiftly.
Previously, after returning from an official tour of the United States and three Latin American countries, President Lee had convened the first real estate policy meeting on August 3 and directed relevant officials to devise plans to maximize supply volumes and accelerate the timing of supply.
