Dunamu Selected as Final Winner for Police “Seized Digital Asset Custody” Project
Dunamu, the operator of the digital asset exchange Upbit, has been selected as the final winner for the police agency's project to store and manage virtual assets seized by authorities.
According to Dunamu on August 7, 2026, the project was conducted through an open competitive bidding process by the Public Procurement Service. Dunamu received the highest technical evaluation score of 94.14 and was designated as the preferred negotiation partner on July 8, 2026. After subsequent technical negotiations, the company was selected as the final winner. The contract period is one year.
The seized digital assets will be stored and managed within Dunamu’s digital asset custody service, “Upbit Custody,” which operates a “24/7, 365-day real-time response control infrastructure” to ensure seamless operation even during nights and holidays.
Upbit Custody is equipped with a 100% cold wallet security environment that is completely isolated from external internet connections. It has adopted a multi-party computation (MPC) and distributed key generation (DKG) multi-management system to fundamentally prevent accidents caused by single key leaks. Additionally, cryptographic security technologies such as multi-signature (multisig) are applied, and it provides a wallet configuration function that allows separate management of wallets according to asset type and intended use.
