Kolon Industries Raises Interim Dividend from 600 to 900 Won
At Least 1,300 Won Annual Dividend per Share
Kolon Industries announced on August 6 that its board of directors resolved to increase the interim dividend per share by 50%, raising it from 600 won to 900 won.
In May of last year, Kolon Industries established a policy to enhance shareholder-friendly management by committing to pay a minimum annual dividend of 1,300 won per common share.
The dividend consists of both an interim dividend and a year-end dividend (at least 700 won). When determining the final year-end dividend, the company considers the available resources for distribution as well as its basic policy on dividends before deciding on any additional payments. The distribution resources are capped at up to 30% of the annual consolidated net profit.
Kolon Industries emphasized that this increase aims to enhance shareholder value by returning profits earned in the first half of this year to its shareholders. The company reported an operating profit of 61.9 billion won in the first quarter of this year, a 130% increase from the same period last year, and also expects improved performance in the second quarter.
