Pukyong National University Opens Major Consultation Event Ahead of Early Admissions... 300 High School Students Explore Career Paths

In anticipation of the 2027 academic year’s early admission process, Pukyong National University has organized an experiential consultation event to help high school students choose their career paths and majors. Professors, current students, and admissions officers gathered in one place to provide tailored consultations covering everything from information on academic departments to admissions strategies.
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sanghoon) announced on August 6 that it held the “ZOOM IN! Finding My Major Consultation Event for High School Students” at the Pukyong Convention Hall for three days starting from August 5.
The event was attended by over 300 participants, including high school students, youths, and parents from the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions. The university’s 45 departments and majors operated consultation booths, introducing the curriculum, career paths, and employment prospects in each field, and addressed participants’ questions.
The “Pukyong Gyro” major mentoring team, composed of current students, also provided consultations. Mentors conducted one-on-one sessions with high school students, sharing insights into the process of choosing a major and university life, as well as introducing academic content and career prospects.
Admissions officers from the Admissions Headquarters offered guidance on the 2027 university admissions process and application strategies, also providing customized college counseling that took into account each student’s aptitude and career aspirations.
Pukyong National University expects that through this event, prospective students will deepen their understanding of different majors and receive support in developing admissions strategies and choosing a career path that best suits them.
