Gyeongsan and Gyeongju, both major hub cities in North Gyeongsang Province, are strengthening regional competitiveness through, respectively, the launch of a large-scale venture capital fund and improved access to the metropolitan area.
On August 6, Gyeongsan City held a ceremony for the establishment of the 'IBKA-Ecopro Gyeongbuk Innovation Venture Fund.'
This fund, totaling 40.8 billion won, will be jointly managed by IBK Asset Management and Ecopro Partners. At least 1.8 billion won is required to be invested in companies based in Gyeongsan.
Additionally, the opening of the Ecopro Partners Daekyung Center in Gyeongsan has further solidified the city's status as a startup hub, supporting promising local startups in fundraising and growth.
Starting from September 1, Gyeongju City will increase the number of high-speed and semi-high-speed trains stopping at Gyeongju Station, following the adjustment of integrated railway operations.
