Review of AIDC Operational Capabilities and Application of Next-Generation Technologies
On August 6, Park Younyoung, CEO of KT, visited the KT Cloud Mokdong 2 Data Center in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul to inspect the current status of Artificial Intelligence Data Center (AIDC) and cloud infrastructure operations as well as technology development.

At the site, CEO Park encouraged employees, inspected the integrated control center and key facilities, and reviewed the operational system of the infrastructure. He also checked the current status of Data Center Interconnect (DCI) operations. DCI is a core technology for connecting and processing the sharply increasing traffic between data centers driven by the expansion of AI services. CEO Park urged employees to use this foundation to enhance the quality and stability of AI services as perceived by customers.
Park also visited the 'AI Innovation Center' within the Mokdong 2 Data Center to examine the development and demonstration of next-generation AIDC technologies. At this facility, various solutions to improve power efficiency and operational stability for AIDC are being tested, including the direct-to-chip (D2C) liquid cooling technology, which has been commercialized in Korea for the first time at the Gasan AIDC.
