The Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office will create an official mascot that embodies the agency's identity and the value of water environment conservation.
The Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office announced that it will hold a "Character Design Contest" to develop this mascot.
The themes of the contest include the vitality of the Nakdong River, water environment conservation, ecosystem protection, and environmental administration in partnership with citizens.
Any Korean citizen, whether as an individual or as a team, can participate.
Applicants wishing to participate must submit at least three types of character design—front (basic type), three-view (front, side, back), and applied versions—along with an explanation of the concept through the contest website by September 30.
The Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office plans to select at least four winning entries through expert evaluation and a public vote.
Winners will receive a total of 8 million won in prizes, as well as awards from the Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Head of the Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office.
The selected mascot will be used in various promotional materials and souvenirs of the Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office in the future.
