Visitor Numbers Rise After Exhibition Opens

Namhae County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on August 6 that the 'Souls Dyed with Light, Vincent van Gogh' replica exhibition, currently being held at the Creative Platform, has been experiencing an increase in visitors since its opening.
According to the county Urban Regeneration Support Center, since the exhibition opened on August 1, the daily number of visitors to the Creative Platform has risen by more than 100 people compared to previous levels.

View original imageThe exhibition will run until August 28, featuring five themes covering Vincent van Gogh's artistic periods from his time in the Netherlands to his final days in Auvers. The exhibition hall showcases 34 replicas of representative works from each period, along with displays introducing the artist's life and oeuvre.
On the opening day, a docent (exhibition guide) program was held, with more than 30 local residents and tourists attending to view the artworks while listening to explanations from the curator.
The exhibition hall also offers a range of interactive programs, including an audio guide accessible via QR codes, a masterpiece coloring activity, and a pointillism experience zone for visitors.
The Center announced that the second docent program will be held at 2 p.m. on August 13, and that anyone can participate free of charge without a prior reservation.
The county Urban Regeneration Support Center stated that, alongside the exhibition's operation, it plans to expand cultural programs and continue revitalizing the Creative Platform through collaboration with local organizations.
