Seogu District of Jeonnam-Gwangju to Award Over 206 Million Won in Scholarships to 122 Future Talents
For high school, university, and out-of-school youth... Applications open until September 30

Seogu District of the Jeonnam-Gwangju Metropolitan City will select a total of 122 scholarship students this year and provide a total of 206.2 million won in scholarship funds to foster future local talent.
The Jeonnam-Gwangju Metropolitan City Seogu Scholarship Foundation announced on August 6 that it will accept scholarship applications from high school students, university students, and out-of-school youth until September 30.
The breakdown of recipients is as follows: 26 high school students, 91 university students, and 5 out-of-school youth, for a total of 122 students. Selection will comprehensively consider economic circumstances, talent, and growth potential across various categories such as academic excellence, happiness, multi-child families, students with disabilities, special aptitude in arts and sports, and the "Dream Support" essay contest.
Applicants must be either residents who have maintained their resident registration in Seogu for at least one year as of the announcement date, or their children, and must meet the eligibility requirements for each scholarship type.
Students wishing to apply can review the application form and required documents in the ‘Scholarship Foundation News’ section of the Seogu District Office website, then submit their applications to the Department of Happiness and Education at the Seogu District Office or to any of the 18 administrative welfare centers in the district.

Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2015, the Seogu Scholarship Foundation has supported approximately 1,030 students with around 1.2 billion won in scholarship funds.
