Samsung Life Insurance Introduces AI Capability Enhancement Training System for Consultants
Five-Stage Program: From Mindset to Field Application, Offered Both Online and Offline
Mandatory for New Consultants Next Year
"Building AI Competency from the Start"
Samsung Life Insurance announced on August 6, 2026, that it will officially implement the 'AI Capability Enhancement Training Program' for consultants affiliated with its sales agency (FC) headquarters, starting this month.
Earlier this year, the company revamped its consultant training system to focus more on practical skills, and has now incorporated training on artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities that can be immediately applied in the field.
With the spread of generative AI, the landscape of insurance sales is also changing. There has been a growing trend of customers researching coverage on their own before requesting consultations. Samsung Life Insurance believes that proficiency in using AI will become a key competitive factor for consultants, which led to the introduction of this training program.
The training program consists of five stages: ▲ AI Mindset ▲ Understanding and Ethics of AI Tools ▲ Internal AI Tool Utilization ▲ External AI Tool Utilization ▲ Advanced Field Application. It is designed for step-by-step learning, ranging from a basic understanding of AI and diverse AI tools, to actual application in the sales field.
In the internal AI tool utilization module, participants will practice with in-house AI search tools such as 'AI Search' to learn how to use them. In the external AI tool utilization module, they will study the different functionalities of generative AI and how these can be applied. The advanced field application course is offered as a themed program for consultants who have completed all the previous modules, further strengthening their field expertise.
The program will be operated both online and offline. After building foundational capabilities through online courses that can be taken without location constraints, participants will receive practical and advanced training through face-to-face sessions at regional and central training centers.
Starting next year, Samsung Life Insurance plans to make this training a mandatory part of the standard onboarding program for new consultants, with the aim of ensuring that AI utilization skills are acquired naturally from the entry stage.
