Hanwha to Host "Seoul International Fireworks Festival 2026" on September 5
Teams from South Korea, the United States, and the United Kingdom to Participate

View original imageThe Seoul International Fireworks Festival will feature three leading pyrotechnic teams from South Korea—represented by Hanwha Corporation—the United States, and the United Kingdom, each showcasing fireworks that reflect their unique national characteristics and production techniques. Unlike last year, when the festival took place at the end of September, this year's event has been moved to early September in consideration of the timing of the Chuseok holiday and the anticipated increase in foreign tourist visits.
Hanwha Corporation stated that it will further strengthen safety management. On both the eve of the festival and the main event day, the company plans to deploy a record high of around 4,700 personnel dedicated to safety and order, including 1,200 Hanwha executives and staff volunteers. In addition, by partnering with telecommunications providers, Hanwha will utilize the real-time crowd density monitoring system "Orange Safety" to support crowd dispersion. The company will also enhance on-site response capabilities by monitoring citizen movement in real time through zone-specific CCTV systems installed around Yeouido’s perimeter, as well as at Wonhyo Bridge, Mapo, and Ichon areas.
