Globalizing K-Food with Artificial Intelligence Platform... CJ CheilJedang Launches 'Food AI 360' Globally
AI Platform Integrates Trend Analysis and Monitoring
First Introduced in Korea in June Last Year; United States Chosen as Second Market
Used in Product Development for Matcha Hetbahn and Bibigo Salmon Steak
Plans for Sequential Launch in Key Regions Such as Japan and Europe
On August 6, CJ CheilJedang announced that it will expand its artificial intelligence (AI) platform “Food AI 360” to the global market—the first in its industry to offer a solution supporting everything from real-time trend analysis to marketing, product planning and development, and consumer response simulation.
This platform, which has been developed in-house by CJ CheilJedang, is an AI-based marketing intelligence solution that integrates and advances the traditional work process of trend catching, concept development and evaluation, and market response monitoring into a single workflow. According to the company, this enables the proactive prediction and discovery of consumer trends, as well as the rapid concretization of these insights into actual product ideas.

In order to accelerate the global expansion of K-Food, the United States was selected as the second market, with the platform’s full implementation completed at the end of June this year. This has made it possible to analyze the U.S. food market and consumer responses in real time, and to more precisely identify local K-Food trends, allowing for swift integration of these insights into product planning and marketing strategies.
The AI also provides a “Concept Studio” feature that supports the generation and evaluation of new product concepts. Concept Studio translates predicted trends into specific product ideas, visualizing proposed product directions, major features, and package designs. Through subsequent AI-based assessments, it allows for the pre-evaluation of anticipated consumer reactions, strengths, and potential improvements, thereby enhancing the efficiency of product planning and decision-making processes.
Products developed with the help of Food AI 360 have already been launched. A notable example is “Matcha Hetbahn,” released in June. Another product, “Bibigo Salmon Steak,” planned through this platform, surpassed 1.4 million units in sales within six months of its launch.
