"T-Robotics Diversifying Portfolio into Glass Substrates and Humanoids"
An analysis has indicated that T-Robotics has secured a supply reference for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) at Ford Energy’s energy storage system (ESS) plant in the United States and is diversifying its portfolio into glass substrates and humanoid robots.
On August 6, Jihoo, a researcher at independent research firm ValueFinder, stated, “T-Robotics unveiled a vacuum robot for glass substrate transportation at last month’s Korea Display Industry Exhibition (K-Display 2026). In addition to its existing vacuum robots for OLEDs, the company has added products for glass substrates to its new portfolio, having completed the patent registration process in Korea and Japan and currently filing applications in the United States, China, and Taiwan.”
Researcher Ji added, “In June, the company announced a project contract to supply about 15 billion won worth of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to Ford Energy’s secondary battery production plant for ESS in Kentucky. By supplying more than 600 AMRs to EV battery manufacturing plants in the United States up to last year, T-Robotics has accumulated a solid track record in production line operations, and is set to gain stable entry into the North American ESS market, starting with Ford’s ESS logistics automation hub.”
T-Robotics, established in 2004, specializes in vacuum robots and logistics automation, and previously developed Korea’s first vacuum robots for liquid crystal display (LCD) units. The company now primarily supplies vacuum robots for semiconductor and display manufacturing, as well as AMRs.
Researcher Ji continued, “At the ‘Automation World 2026’ exhibition this March, the company showcased its own industrial humanoid robot, ‘TR-Works,’ marking a full-scale entry into the humanoid market. The robot is designed to be deployed to actual semiconductor and display manufacturing lines, applying its proprietary AMR technology as the base and a multi-jointed drive system on the upper body.”

The company’s demonstration projects across various industries were also evaluated positively. He noted, “Currently, the company is pursuing a demonstration project for high-risk radioactive waste management in cooperation with the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency, and as demand for manufacturing automation grows, commercial references are also expected to expand.”
