Platea Advances Its Agent AI Platform "XGEN"
Plateer has begun upgrading its agent AI platform, XGEN.
According to Plateer on August 6th, this upgrade is based on practical knowledge accumulated in the retail and financial sectors, going beyond the addition of new features to completely redesign the AI’s operational structure. The company has applied a hybrid Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) model that combines ontology-based knowledge graphs with traditional vector search–based RAG. This approach incorporates the context and relationships between documents, work processes, and systems, enabling more accurate responses to complex business queries. In addition, Harness Engineering was implemented to verify and manage the execution and response process of AI agents, thereby minimizing deviations in generative AI responses and improving accuracy and consistency.
In terms of development productivity, Plateer newly adopted 'FloUI,' which automatically generates the required user interface (UI) from natural language input, as well as an external system API auto-integration feature. This simplifies the development and integration of AI agents and enhances both development and operational efficiency. Regarding scalability, AI agents can now be accumulated as digital assets for enterprises. These agents and workflows are managed as standardized code so they are not tied to any single platform or AI model, supporting reuse in a variety of environments. The platform’s operational foundation was also enhanced. It now supports both on-premises and cloud environments and provides core security features required for enterprise operations, such as Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) masking, by default—facilitating stable AI operations.

Jin Byoungkwon, Head of ECS AX Division at Plateer, stated, "The reason companies struggle to achieve results with AI is not due to failed adoption, but because AI cannot continuously advance during the operation phase. This upgrade combines experience accumulated through real customer projects with the latest AI technologies, focusing on enabling companies to leverage AI as a long-term asset."
