The Stock Set to Earn Dollars from Surging AI Infrastructure Demand
The growing scale of the artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure market, including data centers, is drawing attention to Haein.
According to KOTRA on August 5, the domestic AI market is expected to expand to 4.4 trillion won next year. As the AI market grows, the importance of power supply systems for the operation of data centers—crucial AI infrastructure—is increasing.
In AI data centers, even a single power outage can lead to large-scale losses. This is why emergency generators, which supply power immediately during blackouts, are considered key equipment that determines the operational stability of data centers. In the United States, as global big tech companies continue to invest in data centers, Caterpillar, the world's leading company in the emergency generator market, is benefiting in its power generation business.
Caterpillar’s sales in the second quarter of this year reached USD 20.543 billion, up 24% compared to the same period last year, while operating profit jumped 50% to USD 4.295 billion. Its order backlog also hit a record high at USD 72 billion, a USD 9 billion increase from the previous quarter.
Haein, the official Caterpillar dealer in Korea, is also expected to benefit. Haein has continued to supply and maintain Caterpillar engines and generators for 65 years. It is anticipated that Haein’s revenue in dollars will increase through Caterpillar’s power generation business.

Haein has built a performance record in the domestic data center market. The company has supplied Caterpillar emergency generators to major data centers for Samsung Electronics, Kakao, and more, and is also participating in data center projects for major U.S. big tech companies. In the defense sector, Haein has provided engines for high-speed patrol boats of the Black Kite class, large transport vessels such as the Marado, and logistical support ships for the British Royal Navy. The company is also seeking to enter the global naval maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) market.
