Gyeongnam Office of Education to Recruit 756 New Public School Teachers for 2027 Academic Year

The Gyeongnam Office of Education will recruit 756 new teachers to work at public schools in the province.

On August 5, the Provincial Office of Education announced the "Planned Recruitment Numbers for New Public School Teachers for the 2027 Academic Year" on its official website.

The planned recruitment figures are as follows: ▲Kindergarten, 63 teachers ▲Elementary, 149 teachers ▲Special Education, 43 teachers (Kindergarten 8, Elementary 35) ▲Secondary (26 subjects), 400 teachers ▲Special Education (Secondary), 27 teachers ▲Health, 26 teachers ▲Nutrition, 20 teachers ▲Librarian, 9 teachers ▲Professional counseling, 19 teachers—for a total of 756 positions.

Compared to last year's planned recruitment, the number of kindergarten and elementary school teachers increased by 33, while the number of secondary school teachers decreased by 67.

For kindergarten and elementary school positions, the recruitment notice will be published on September 9, and applications will be accepted from September 28 to October 2. The first round of examinations is scheduled for November 7.

For secondary school teacher positions, the announcement will be made on September 30, with applications accepted from October 12 to 16. The first round of examinations will be held on November 28.

The Office of Education has provided details in the recruitment notice, including the exam scope, the evaluation content for the second practical exam, and system changes compared to last year.

If there is an adjustment in teacher staffing or a reason arises to supply additional personnel, the final number of positions will be confirmed and announced when the final recruitment plan is published.
