K3AI Launches AI Middleware Integrated with NVIDIA Omniverse... Accelerates Push into Physical AI Market
On August 5, K3AI Co., Ltd. (431190) announced the launch of its own AI-Powered Middleware, integrated with NVIDIA Omniverse, as it steps up its efforts to target the physical AI and digital twin markets.
The newly introduced AI-Powered Middleware is software that connects physical AI, extended reality (XR), digital twins, and AI agents through a single platform. It implements data from real-world spaces in digital environments, and then links the results of AI learning and inference back to industrial systems.
The company aims to go beyond supplying conventional AI models or XR devices, targeting the establishment of an integrated platform in which spatial data, robotics, legacy production systems, and AI agents are interconnected organically.
With this new platform, K3AI plans to expand its business by focusing on three core areas: building digital spaces for physical AI training, integrating robotics with existing production systems, and utilizing AI agents. Through these initiatives, its strategy is to broaden applications to industries such as manufacturing, smart cities, education, tourism, and exhibitions—any sector requiring the convergence of real spaces and digital services.
Key technologies employed include the XR middleware ‘Universe XR Framework’ and the digital twin platform ‘Neuro Twin X.’ The proprietary middleware renders real spaces as three-dimensional data and links with various XR devices, while the digital twin platform bridges physical AI solutions with production systems.
Through these solutions, the company plans to advance its physical AI training data infrastructure and accelerate the adoption of digital twins in the manufacturing and robotics sectors.
K3AI is also stepping up applications in the manufacturing sector. Recently, the company entered into a business agreement with Sambo Motors to propel a manufacturing AI transformation (AX) initiative. The two companies are co-developing industrial AI agents and digital twin-based manufacturing AX models that leverage Sambo Motors’ field operations experience and K3AI’s digital twin technologies, enabling advancements in production planning, quality control, and supply chain management.
A company representative said, “AI-Powered Middleware will serve as a core platform, connecting robots, industrial systems, physical spaces, and user experiences beyond simply adding AI functions. We will leverage our accumulated expertise in XR middleware and digital twin technology to achieve meaningful business outcomes in physical AI and AI agent domains.”
Meanwhile, on the same day, K3AI also released a mid- to long-term strategy via its website to sequentially launch core products in three areas—Creative AI, Industrial AI, and Autonomous Intelligence—with AI-Powered Middleware at the center.
