AI and Power Semiconductor Demand Drive DB HiTek's Q2 Operating Profit Up 43%
Sales Reach 414.5 Billion Won, Operating Profit Hits 105.2 Billion Won
Volume Expansion in AI Data Centers and Robotics
Second Quarter Earnings Announcement Scheduled for August 5-6
DB HiTek's operating profit in the second quarter rose by more than 40% compared to the same period last year.
On August 5, DB HiTek announced via a public disclosure that, on a consolidated basis, its provisional sales for the second quarter of 2026 reached 414.5 billion won, with operating profit coming in at 105.2 billion won.
These figures represent increases of 23% and 43%, respectively, over the same period last year, with the operating margin reaching 25%.
The company explained that improved profitability resulted from a combination of higher value-added power semiconductor demand for automotive and industrial applications and, more recently, a volume expansion in new growth application areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) data centers and robotics, leading to a favorable product mix effect.
A DB HiTek representative stated, "We plan to further strengthen our profitability by accelerating market expansion, especially in new growth application areas such as AI data centers and robotics. In addition, we will continue to expand our production capacity as planned in order to respond proactively to customer demand."
DB HiTek is ranked among the world’s top ten foundries, serving approximately 400 global customers, and has demonstrated its technological leadership in the high-voltage BCD-based power semiconductor sector. Recently, the company has also diversified its process lineup to include next-generation compound semiconductors such as SiC (silicon carbide) and GaN (gallium nitride), further boosting its global competitiveness in response to the expansion of the AI data center and electric vehicle markets.
