LSK iRobot Launches First AI Virtual IP "Cherrina"... Full-Scale Push for AI Business Commercialization
On August 5th, LSK iRobot (091970) announced that it will release its first AI content project, "Cherrina" (real name Kim Chae-ni), which incorporates generative AI and computer vision technology, later this month, as the company begins to expand its AI business.
Cherrina is an AI virtual IP currently being developed by leveraging the AI expertise of OneTouchAI, its recently acquired AI-specialized subsidiary. Through this project, the company aims to verify the business viability of its AI technology and plans to expand the scope of applications to various industries in the future.
Through the acquisition of OneTouchAI, LSK iRobot has secured core technologies in generative AI and computer vision. OneTouchAI is an AI company founded by Professor Choi Jongwon of Chung-Ang University, who previously served as a lead researcher at the Samsung SDS AI Research Center. The company possesses strong capabilities in developing visual intelligence and video AI technologies.
Cherrina is a virtual IP created using AI-based visual intelligence and generative AI technologies, and it is being developed with the goal of producing AI-powered content and implementing interactive services that engage users.
With this project, LSK iRobot plans to validate the commercial viability of its generative AI and computer vision technologies, and further strengthen its competitiveness in AI by accumulating operational experience and data throughout the content production process.
The company intends to establish Cherrina as its first case of commercializing AI technology and, in the future, to expand its business areas beyond AI content to include industrial AI solutions such as manufacturing automation, logistics, and service robots.
An official from LSK iRobot stated, "Cherrina is our first project that applies the AI technologies we have acquired to actual services, and it will be released later this month. Starting with the AI content business, we plan to broaden the scope of AI technology adoption to various industry sectors and secure new growth drivers."
