LG CNS to Draw AX Blueprint for 14 Airports Nationwide... Wins AI Master Plan Project
Awarded Project to Establish AI Master Plan for Korea Airports Corporation
Expanding AX Business Portfolio in the Airport and Aviation Sector
LG CNS announced on the 5th that it has won the contract for the "KAC AI Master Plan (ISMP) Establishment" project from Korea Airports Corporation.
This project aims to formulate a mid- to long-term strategy and actionable roadmap to apply artificial intelligence (AI) across the operations of 14 airports nationwide, including Gimpo, Gimhae, and Jeju.
Korea Airports Corporation, which has been selected as a leading AI institution by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, has been promoting a total of 50 AI innovation initiatives since 2025 with the goal of "Creating future airports through AI innovation."
Through this project, LG CNS will play a role in concretizing the AI transformation (AX) strategy for Korea Airports Corporation and establishing its master plan. Specifically, LG CNS will focus on identifying key services such as ▲ optimizing airport operations ▲ innovating customer service ▲ building a safety management system by utilizing AI. To this end, LG CNS will cover the full scope of the project, including AI strategy consulting, designing AI and data architecture, establishing AI governance, conducting proof-of-concept (PoC) for core tasks, and drawing up execution plans for subsequent projects.
The agentic AI-based safety management service is also a part of the AX strategy. When an abnormal situation occurs at the airport, on-site staff can verbally report the scenario, and the AI agent automatically organizes this input to generate a draft report and offers response procedures tailored to the situation. Once such a service model is fully implemented, it is expected to reduce the reporting burden on staff during emergencies and support rapid initial response.
LG CNS plans to leverage its accumulated AX expertise and capabilities in generative and agentic AI, cloud, and data technology from various industries for this project. With these strengths, the company aims to help Korea Airports Corporation improve operational efficiency and expand its AX business portfolio into the airport and aviation sectors.
