Dunamu Partners Makes Follow-up Investment in Cancer Genomics Big Data Company 'InnoCras', Total Investment Reaches 14.5 Billion Won
Dunamu Partners, the investment subsidiary of Dunamu, announced on August 4 that it has made a follow-up investment in the cancer genomics big data company InnoCras, bringing its cumulative investment to 14.5 billion won.
InnoCras is a company that possesses proprietary technology to convert whole genome sequencing (WGS) data into clinically actionable information. Dunamu Partners, recognizing the company’s technological capabilities and business potential, participated in all four funding rounds, starting with its initial investment in 2022 and continuing through this most recent round.
In this round, InnoCras raised a total of 31 million dollars (approximately 45.136 billion won). New investors include IMM Investment, Korea Investment & Securities, Woori Investment & Securities, and Shinhan Investment & Securities. Existing investors DSC Investment and Intervest also participated.
InnoCras was founded in 2020 by medical scientists, geneticists, and bioinformaticians from KAIST. The company analyzes whole genome sequencing (WGS) data from cancer patients using its own bioinformatics technology to provide the information needed for cancer diagnosis and treatment decisions. Currently, more than 100 cancer-specialized medical institutions in Asia are actively using InnoCras solutions in clinical settings.
Through its CLIA/CAP-certified laboratories, InnoCras has collaborated with major hospitals, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and research institutions worldwide. It has also validated the effectiveness of large-scale whole genome analysis through joint research with the Broad Institute in the United States. Its main products include: ▲ 'CancerVision,' a precision diagnostic solution that predicts treatment response and provides personalized therapy strategies, and ▲ 'MRDVision,' which detects minimal residual disease (MRD) in cancer.
Based on this investment, the company plans to accelerate its entry into the U.S. hospital market with its whole genome-based cancer precision diagnostic solutions. Leveraging its accumulated clinical experience in Asia, InnoCras aims to expand its footprint and support hospital adoption in the U.S., while also strengthening its local sales network and operational infrastructure.
Seo Jehee, CEO of InnoCras, stated, “Since its first investment in 2022, Dunamu Partners has gone beyond simply being a financial investor to become a strategic partner that has helped foster InnoCras’s growth.” She added, “Their advice to build a sustainable revenue model, grounded in clinical experience accumulated in the Asian market, was a crucial turning point that allowed InnoCras to establish itself and lay the foundation for business expansion.” She went on to say, “Moving forward, we aim to set a new global standard in the field of precision medicine, beyond just the U.S. market.”
