T-Robotics Signs MOU with Korea Radioactive Waste Agency for Unmanned Radioactive Waste Management
T-Robotics has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the "Large-Scale Convergence Robot Demonstration Project 2026" with the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency, Clobot, and Gyeongbuk ICT Convergence Industry Promotion Association.
According to T-Robotics on August 4, 2026, this MOU was concluded to jointly carry out a government demonstration project that applies various robots to the field of high-risk radioactive waste safety management. The participating organizations plan to establish an operational model for multiple types of robots that can enhance the safety and work efficiency at radioactive waste disposal facilities, and to lay the groundwork for commercialization based on the results of the demonstration.
T-Robotics will cooperate in several areas, including: demonstrating the operation of various robots for high-risk radioactive waste safety management; sharing technology and information required for demonstration; jointly promoting the demonstration project; and generating and disseminating the results of the government robot demonstration project. The company intends to expand the application of robots not only to nuclear facilities but also to other high-risk industrial sites where direct human labor is difficult.

A spokesperson for T-Robotics stated, "The more high-risk the work environment, the more essential the role of industrial robots with precise control and stability becomes. Based on the operational experience accumulated through this demonstration, we plan to further advance unmanned solutions based on physical artificial intelligence (AI) for industry and expand the application to various high-risk sectors such as semiconductors, chemicals, and steel."
