Yeongdeungpo District Selects Area Around 113-5 Singil-dong as "Rapid Integrated Planning" Candidate Site
District Sets Goal to Shorten Redevelopment Zone Designation
From Five Years to Two Years
Yeongdeungpo District Office (District Chief Jo Yujin) announced on August 4 that the area around 113-5 Singil-dong has been officially selected as a candidate site for Seoul City's Rapid Integrated Planning Housing Redevelopment Project.

Singil Station and Daebang Station are located nearby, and the district expects that if redevelopment is carried out in connection with other candidate sites in the vicinity, infrastructure such as roads will be expanded as well.
Prior to the selection of the candidate site, the district gathered residents' opinions and held consultations with Seoul City. It also analyzed the level of aging, locational conditions, and potential sources of resident conflict, presenting the need for redevelopment and business feasibility to the city.
The district has set a goal of shortening the designation period for redevelopment zones—which previously took more than five years—to within two years by supporting administrative and technical challenges that arise during the redevelopment process. To this end, the "Redevelopment and Reconstruction Rapid Advancement Support Team" will be deployed on site from the early stages of the project. The support team will be organized into an On-site Support Division, responsible for field inspections and conflict mediation, and a Professional Support Division, providing tax, accounting, and legal consulting services.
This year, the district plans to initiate a service to establish the maintenance plan in the second half of the year and continue administrative support for follow-up procedures.

District Chief Jo Yujin stated, "With this selection as a rapid integrated planning candidate site, we have secured momentum for the redevelopment project our residents have long hoped for.
