On August 3, Korea & Company Group announced that it is fostering a culture of AI-driven organizational innovation by hosting AI hackathons and competitions.

At the "AI Vibe Coding Hackathon 2026" held last month, 30 teams and 80 employees participated, drawing significant interest. Employees tackled real work-related challenges using generative AI and AI agents based on the Google AI platform. The group offered pre-event training and mentoring, enabling even those with limited AI experience to participate in the entire process from idea planning to implementation.

The grand prize went to the team "Gasina-mu," which proposed a supply chain risk management system by combining map-based visualization technology with AI analysis. Other outstanding projects included an AI-powered tire product strategy platform utilizing benchmarking data, as well as an AI-based global factory quality risk detection and smart audit system.

The group is also collaborating with KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) to hold an AI competition and run a project-based academia-industry cooperation program. Teams consist of employees and graduate students, who work together for six weeks on business data-driven assignments, refining their projects with guidance from faculty advisors.

This initiative aligns with Chairman Cho Hyunbum’s "data- and AI-driven" management strategy. The group's goal is to transform AI from a specialized technology used by a select few departments into an innovative tool accessible to all employees, fostering a culture in which frontline staff directly identify issues and solve them with AI.

A Korea & Company Group representative stated, "By accumulating frontline-centered AI application experience and advancing our data-driven decision-making systems, we will strengthen the technological competitiveness of our core future mobility businesses—including tires, batteries, and thermal management solutions."
