Korea Investment & Securities Offers Additional 20,000 Won Investment Support for First Non-Face-to-Face Account Opening
Korea Investment & Securities announced on August 3 that, starting this month, it has enhanced its benefits for new BanKIS account holders by providing an additional investment support fund of 20,000 won. BanKIS is Korea Investment & Securities’ non-face-to-face and financial platform-linked account opening service.
This benefit applies equally to customers who open their first account through the Korea Investment & Securities website, mobile app (MTS), and partner channels. Korea Investment & Securities is offering account opening-linked services in partnership with key global financial information platform 'Investing.com', cryptocurrency exchange 'Coinone', and major internet banks such as KakaoBank, Toss Bank, and K Bank.
Accordingly, customers who open their first account from August will receive, in addition to the existing benefit of two randomly selected KOSPI200 constituent shares, an extra 20,000 won investment support fund, which can be used like cash for domestic stock purchases during the first week after opening the account.
Korea Investment & Securities is focusing its efforts on diversifying account opening and trading channels so that customers can open accounts, trade stocks, and subscribe to financial products from anywhere without visiting a branch. The company aims to help beginner investors and the Millennials & Gen Z generations enter the stock market and gain their first investment experience without burden. As of June, Millennials & Gen Z accounted for more than half—51.2%—of the new accounts brought in through partner channels.
