K-Bank Introduces Agentic AI: "Enhancing Development Productivity and Strengthening Technological Competitiveness"
Supporting All Development Stages Including Code Generation, System Analysis, and Internal Knowledge Search
K-Bank announced on August 3 that it has introduced 'Agentic AI', an autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) system designed to support all stages of development, including code generation, system analysis, and internal knowledge search.
Agentic AI goes beyond generative AI that merely answers questions; it is capable of making its own decisions, planning, and performing tasks required to achieve user-defined goals. The system independently designs the necessary steps and utilizes various tools to carry out the required work.
When a developer inputs the desired service functionality, Agentic AI generates the necessary code. If the developer requests improvements or code review for an existing service, the system analyzes the architecture and provides suggestions for improvement.
Notably, Agentic AI is deployed within the company's intranet environment, allowing it to leverage information linked from various internal systems such as staff data, internal regulations, development standards, and work templates.
K-Bank explained that during the two-month pilot operation, 50 developers used 4 billion tokens, demonstrating a high level of utilization. On average, a single developer processed the equivalent text of 10 books, each 300 pages long, per day in terms of reading and analysis volume.
Going forward, K-Bank plans to continuously expand the scope of internal system integration, evolving Agentic AI into a comprehensive AI platform that supports all aspects of development and collaboration. In addition, based on the graphics processing unit (GPU) platform currently under development and targeted for launch within the year, Agentic AI's capabilities will also be enhanced.

A K-Bank representative stated, "Agentic AI is an AI development partner that reduces the burden of repetitive coding and information search, enabling developers to focus on service design and problem solving." The spokesperson added, "We will actively incorporate AI technology to enhance development productivity and strengthen our technological competitiveness."
