Yecheon County Offers Family Experience Programs for Summer Vacation
One-Day Classes Tailored for Young Children
A Variety of Sensory Play, Cooking, and Kids Yoga Activities
Yecheon County announced that it will operate a “One-Day Summer Special Class” for families with young children in the region, from August 2 to August 23 to coincide with the summer vacation period.
This program has been organized for families with preschool children living in the new city as well as within the local community.
Every week, themed hands-on activities will be held at the Homyeong-eup Multipurpose Community Center, the Yecheon-eup Child Care & Safety Center, and the Yecheon National Sports Center.
The county has designed a program focused on hands-on content that combines play and education, not only to support sensory development and enhance creativity in young children but also so that parents and children can participate together and bond.
During the first week, activities such as “Yorijori Cooking,” “Soft Sensory Play,” and “Sensory Playground” will be offered. For the second week, “Animal Friends Expedition,” “Smart Abacus Class,” and “Balance Kids Yoga” will take place.
In the third week, “Sensory Playground” will be operated, and in the final week, the “Air Trampoline Playground” and the “Candle Maker” program will provide children with a variety of experiences that encourage physical activity, sensory development, and creative growth.
The county expects that this summer special class will not only support the healthy development of young children and enhance family communication, but also contribute to creating a child-friendly local environment.
A county official commented, “We have organized programs to ensure that children can learn and grow happily through diverse experiences during summer vacation. We will continue to expand family-oriented programs that allow parents and children to participate together and create lasting memories.”
Local government child-rearing policies are expanding beyond child care support to include experiential and educational activities that families can participate in together.
This summer special class in Yecheon County is significant in that it is a practical, everyday program designed both to support child development and to strengthen family bonds by enabling parents and children to spend meaningful time together.
