This is the first time it has been held in South Korea.
During the event, Lotte Wellfood presented its flagship brands, including Pepero and Zec, in the delegation lounge where participants from 162 countries gathered. Notably, on July 25, when the decision was made to expand Korea’s tidal flats as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the company presented the “Pepero Landmark Edition” gift set, featuring Korean cultural icons such as Gwanghwamun and Irwolobongdo, to each delegation.
At the delegation lounge, samples were distributed to over 3,000 participants. The company explained that Pepero Almond and Pepero Chocolate were among the most popular, quickly running out among the delegates. Other products, such as Zec and Mini Yakgwa, also attracted much attention. At the Korea Pavilion, which was open to the general public, a Pepero brand experience event was held on July 23 and 24.
Lotte Wellfood stated that it intends to use its official partnership activities at the UNESCO World Heritage Committee as a foundation to further strengthen its brand recognition in the global market, and to continue taking the lead in promoting Korean culture worldwide through K-food.
