Against the backdrop of jeonse fraud becoming a major social issue in recent times, this guidebook has been created to present complex real estate systems and administrative information in a way that is easy for citizens to understand. By compiling all the necessary details for real estate transactions into one volume, the guidebook enhances practicality for users.
The guidebook includes various key systems such as real estate contract procedures, designated land transaction permit zones, real transaction reporting, and publicly announced individual land prices. It also provides notes on safe monthly and jeonse contracts. Additionally, it introduces land management information such as cadastral surveys and road name addresses, as well as major real estate-related websites.
In particular, the appendix features a 'tear-off checklist for tenants,' summarizing important items to check before signing a contract. This is designed to increase practicality so that tenants can use it directly during the contract process.
Alongside distributing the guidebook, Yongin City is also expanding tailored consultations and educational programs. In March, the 'Yongin Safe Jeonse Management Team' provided counseling to Dankook University students, offering information on precautions for jeonse contracts and ways to prevent fraud. Going forward, the city plans to continue operating a Jeonse Fraud Prevention Academy at 'Yongin Youth LAB' and to maintain on-site counseling and distribution of the guidebook.
The guidebook can be obtained free of charge at the civil service centers in City Hall and each district office. It is also available for viewing on the Yongin Special City website under 'Yongin News - Yongin City e-book - Policy Information.'
