The event was attended by Kim Taekjin, CEO of NC, and Feng Cheng, CEO of Shengqu Games. The two companies have maintained a close partnership for 17 years, starting with the launch of the Chinese service for 'Aion' in 2009.
As part of the strategic partnership, Shengqu Games will handle the publishing of 'Aion 2' in China. Shengqu Games has launched the official website for 'Aion 2' and unveiled its Chinese service name, 'Tower of Eternity 2 (永恒之塔2)'. Further details, including the service schedule, will be announced sequentially. NC also plans to showcase 'Aion 2' at ChinaJoy, the international game exhibition opening in Shanghai.
CEO Kim stated, "'Aion 2' elevates the ideals envisioned by the original title to a higher level of completeness. We will do our utmost to create new value in the Chinese MMORPG market and ensure the game is remembered for a long time."
CEO Feng commented, "'Aion 2' is not just a simple sequel based on intellectual property (IP), but an innovative new game that combines NC's long-standing philosophy and know-how in MMO development with the latest technology. We will continue to work closely with NC to steadily perfect the game from launch through its live service."
