Chosun University Hospital Achieves Grade 1 for 11 Consecutive Times in HIRA’s 'Acute Stroke Evaluation'
Chosun University Hospital announced on the 30th that it received a "grade 1" rating for the 11th consecutive time in the 11th 'Acute Stroke Evaluation' released by the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service (HIRA).
Since 2006, HIRA has conducted the Acute Stroke Adequacy Assessment to improve the quality of medical care for acute stroke. The purpose of this assessment is to encourage voluntary quality improvement by medical institutions and to provide the public with information needed to make informed medical choices.
This latest evaluation was conducted on treatments provided over a six-month period, from October 2024 to March of the previous year. Key indicators included: whether a stroke unit (personnel and facilities) was in place; early rehabilitation assessment and implementation rates; functional assessment at discharge; and the rate of pneumonia occurrence during hospitalization.
