Strong Price Competitiveness Is a Major Advantage
If you want to buy a smartwatch but find the price burdensome, Xiaomi’s recently released “Smart Band 10 Pro”—launched domestically on July 24, 2026—is targeted at consumers just like you. Introduced about a year and a half after the 2024 debut of the Smart Band 9 Pro, this successor is positioned by Xiaomi as the top-tier smart band in its wearable lineup, combining the lightness of a smart band with the versatility of a smartwatch. Although it is called a smart band, its large screen and numerous features provide a user experience very close to that of a smartwatch. I personally wore the lavender pink model for about five days to test it out.
My first impression was that “there’s virtually no difference from a smartwatch.” While the display looked durable like that of a typical smartwatch, the screen itself was narrower and more elongated. The main unit did not stick out much above the wrist, so it wasn’t distracting while moving, and it remained comfortable to wear over long periods. The size was suitable even for those with slender wrists. The Smart Band 10 Pro features a lightweight design at just 9.7mm thick and 21.6g, with a high-strength aluminum alloy frame. The AMOLED display offers up to 2,000 nits of brightness, making it easy to see clearly even outdoors in direct sunlight.
Its fitness features were especially impressive, as expected from a smart band. I activated workout mode during some strength training sessions. It allows you to distinguish and track detailed categories of strength exercises, such as back and upper or lower body workouts. Using the back exercise mode and performing lat pulldowns, it recorded time, maximum heart rate, and calories burned for each set. You could also turn on a metronome or set workout goal times, enabling activity tracking aligned with your routine. Rather than just recording total workout time, it breaks down sessions into separate stages, making it convenient to manage detailed workout data. The device supports a total of more than 150 workout modes.
The battery life is also impressive. Even with the always-on display (AOD) mode enabled and using workout modes, after about five days of use, more than 70% of the battery remained. Disabling the AOD would extend usable time to as much as two weeks. Compared to premium smartwatches that require daily charging, this is a significant advantage.
However, location tracking did have some drawbacks. Connecting to the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal for recording outdoor workouts took longer than expected, forcing me to pause my activities, and the device was unable to locate a signal indoors, necessitating moving outdoors. Alerts about "weak GNSS signal" would also repeatedly sound when using it indoors, making it difficult to concentrate on workouts at times.

The biggest strength of this device is its price. For users who find it burdensome to spend hundreds of thousands of won on a smartwatch, or whose main focus is recording their workouts, it is a highly satisfactory option. The Smart Band 10 Pro is not just affordable—it blurs the boundary between smart bands and smartwatches, earning its reputation as a true game-changer in its category.
