34:1 Competition Rate

20 Million Won Support Per Company

Ten next-generation star small businesses set to represent Busan have been selected. From Makgeolli and traditional liquor to pork rice soup, clothing, women's shoes, and vegan foods, companies embodying the region’s characteristics have overcome fierce competition to be chosen as growth support targets by the Busan Metropolitan Government.

The Busan Metropolitan Government (Mayor Jeon Jae-su) and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency announced that they selected ten “2026 Busan Star Small Businesses” and held a certification ceremony and the “100 Days of Livelihood: Citizen Dialogue” at Suwolgyeonghwa in Songjeong-dong, Haeundae-gu, on the 30th.

This year, a total of 336 companies applied, recording a competition ratio of 34:1. After a document review, on-site assessment, and presentation evaluation, the final ten companies were chosen.

The selected businesses are Kkulgeok House, Namcheon Myeonga, Luft Mansion, Seok Woon Yoon, Seokjeong Galbi, Yang San Jip, ARF Studio, OMG, Plot, and Honeybro Food. They have demonstrated competitiveness in diverse fields such as food and dining, fashion, and consumer goods, and have been highly evaluated for their potential to grow into entrepreneurial small businesses.

The Busan Metropolitan Government will present certificates and plaques to the selected companies and provide a growth support fund of 20 million won per company in the first year. The city will also promote growth strategy consulting, national project application consulting, business-to-business cooperation support, and joint marketing initiatives.

In addition, the city plans to continue offering support to expand sales channels, such as preferential guarantee rates for small business policy funds, support for participation in expos and exhibitions, and network building.

During the “100 Days of Livelihood: Citizen Dialogue” held on the same day, star small business representatives shared on-site challenges and offered opinions regarding small business support policies. The city plans to review the feedback from the meeting and reflect it in future policies.

Mayor Jeon Jae-su stated, “We will spare no effort in supporting small businesses with unique Busan character and competitiveness so that they can prove themselves not only nationwide but also in the global market,” adding, “We will actively support star small businesses so that they can grow into entrepreneurial small business owners representing the region.”
