Police Raid Coupang Office Over Major Incheon Logistics Center Fire
The police have launched a compulsory investigation into the Coupang 32 Logistics Center in Incheon, where a large fire broke out.
On July 30, at around 10:00 a.m., the "Coupang Logistics Center Fire Investigation Task Force" of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency carried out a raid at a Coupang office near the logistics center in Seonam-dong, Seohae-gu, Incheon.
The police mobilized 30 investigators for the search and plan to secure original footage from CCTV recordings that captured the scene at the time of the fire. As of now, no suspects have been booked in connection with the fire.
A police official stated, "We proceeded with the search and seizure to determine the cause of the fire," adding, "We cannot disclose further details at this time."

View original imageThe fire occurred at 6:54 a.m. on July 18 and was extinguished in the afternoon of July 22, after approximately 109 hours and 40 minutes. With the exception of two firefighters who received hospital treatment for smoke inhalation and exhaustion, there were no other casualties.

According to the "Fire and Accident Situation Report" from the Incheon Fire Headquarters, fire authorities believe the blaze likely started from goods stored on the third-tier shelf (rack) on the sixth floor of the logistics center.
