According to Korea University of Technology and Education on July 30, Geureomyo Company, formed by Department of Business Administration students Dongha Kim, Aran Jeon, and Jaeho Song, developed the AI-based counseling service "Grapefruitda," which, just about six months after its launch, has reached a cumulative total of 350,000 users.
Grapefruitda originally started as a dream interpretation service, but it later expanded its functions by adding fortune-telling, saju (Four Pillars of Destiny), and tarot content, evolving further into an AI-driven counseling service. Over the course of approximately six months, the service has undergone nearly 60 updates, incorporating user feedback for improvements.
This service became available on Toss's in-app service platform "App in Toss" and ranked first overall in the AI category in June.
Geureomyo Company received the grand prize at KoreaTech's Startup Idea Competition for the first semester of the 2026 academic year, and was also selected for the Ministry of Education's "Student Startup Promising Team 300+" program at the "Leap" stage.
The team is developing its services through a mutual verification approach focused on the user perspective, with each member planning and operating their own services: Dongha Kim’s AI counseling service "Grapefruitda," Jaeho Song’s everyday weather service "TokTok Weather," and Aran Jeon’s learning support service "Subakssi TokTok."
