On July 30, a ceremony was held at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul to mark the signing of a work agreement for transitioning police vehicles to electric cars and to launch the pilot project for eco-friendly police facilities. Yoon Ho-joong, Minister of the Interior and Safety; Kim Sung-hwan, Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment; and Yoo Jae-sung, Acting Commissioner General of the National Police Agency, participated in a performance demonstrating the charging of an electric police patrol car.
