[Conference Call] Samsung Electronics: "2nm Foundry Orders to More Than Double This Year Compared to Last Year"
On July 30, during the second-quarter earnings conference call, Samsung Electronics provided an update on its advanced process orders, stating, "We have secured 2-nanometer project orders from major cloud service provider (CSP) customers, as well as artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) clients, and these customers have begun design work on their products." The company added, "Based on this order momentum, we expect the number of 2-nanometer project orders for 2026 to more than double compared to the previous year." It further explained, "We continue to expand new advanced process orders, discussing various projects with major customers including Broadcom."
