Yuhan Corporation announced on July 30 that it has officially launched its blood sugar management functional probiotic "DangQLac" in the Mexican market, and will begin actively targeting the health functional food market across Central and South America.
Mexico is regarded as one of the largest health functional food markets in Central and South America. According to 2024 data from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), the prevalence of diabetes among Mexican adults is around 16.4%, which is a high level globally.

The two companies plan to establish a comprehensive marketing strategy, including local clinical trials, to target a variety of distribution channels within Mexico.
DangQLac is a blood sugar functional individually approved probiotic that uses the Lactiplantibacillus plantarum HAC01 strain as the main ingredient. Since its launch in Korea in April 2023, it has recorded cumulative sales of 60 billion won over three years.
