SNsys Secures Site for Geoje Ocean Center
SNsys, an integrated solution provider for shipbuilding, marine, and power sectors, is setting up a new key base to strengthen its competitiveness in the eco-friendly equipment business.
On July 30, SNsys announced that it had completed the acquisition of the Geoje Ocean Center site.
The newly secured site is located in Yeoncho-myeon, Geoje City, Gyeongsangnam-do, and spans approximately 2,600 pyeong. The Geoje Ocean Center will serve as a core hub representing SNsys’s eco-solution business. Beginning next year, the company plans to gradually establish facilities to expand its production capabilities for eco-friendly equipment such as ballast water management systems (BWMS), fuel gas supply systems (FGSS), and low-flashpoint fuel supply systems (LFSS). SNsys also aims to establish a stable supply system for these products.
The Geoje Ocean Center will also centralize research and development (R&D) functions for eco-friendly technologies. The company outlined its strategy to continuously develop key technologies related to eco-friendly fuel supply systems, including BWMS performance enhancement and systems for liquefied natural gas (LNG), methanol, and ammonia. This will help equip SNsys with next-generation eco-solutions to respond to stronger international environmental regulations and the expanding eco-friendly ship market.
In addition to building the Geoje Ocean Center, SNsys is sequentially investing IPO funds that were raised at the time of listing to expand its production and R&D infrastructure, thereby laying the foundation for future growth. The company is also promoting the expansion of its second plant in Busan, with plans to continue strengthening production capabilities in the eco-friendly equipment and power solution sectors.
