On July 30, LG Electronics announced that it would hold the second exhibition of the "MMCA X LG OLED Series" at “Seoul Box” inside the Seoul branch of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Jongno-gu, Seoul, from July 31 to November 29.

This exhibition, in collaboration with Christine Sun Kim, a Berlin-based Korean American artist, presents a large-scale installation art piece under the theme "Have Many Dumb Fights Against Rock."

To realize this work, LG Electronics constructed a massive curved screen using a total of 72 55-inch OLED screens. Visitors can experience the artist's work more vividly through the perfect blacks and precise color reproduction of LG OLED. In particular, the exhibition fully features animations based on the artist’s drawings, which visually reinterpret movements in American Sign Language (ASL) and the motion lines of classic cartoons, providing a new exhibition experience that fuses technology and art.

Beyond simply sponsoring the display, LG Electronics collaborated closely from the planning stage, supporting the entire space and technological implementation to faithfully realize the artist’s creative vision. Christine Sun Kim’s intention to visualize constantly changing rules of images and language was completed as a stunning digital video installation through the large-format curved LG OLED screens.

This year’s participating artist, Christine Sun Kim, has created works spanning drawing, painting, installation, media art, and performance, exploring the structures of language, communication, and accessibility. Through her unique practice combining graphical notation—a system that translates sound into visual language—and drawing, she visually reinterprets language and social relationships. She has received significant international attention, including major solo exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Walker Art Center in the United States.

The "MMCA X LG OLED Series" is a collaborative project launched by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and LG Electronics to present new aesthetics in contemporary art, and this year marks its second edition. Working with talented artists proposing visual experiments, the series presents exhibitions using LG OLED’s advanced display technology and continues to expand the boundaries between art and technology.

Meanwhile, LG OLED TV has maintained its position as the global leader for 13 consecutive years since launching the world’s first OLED TV in 2013, demonstrating continual technological progress each year. The 2026 LG OLED evo AI introduces overwhelming picture quality, featuring the third-generation Alpha 11 AI Processor (α11 AI Processor 4K Gen3), which delivers LG’s brightest and most vivid colors ever, combined with "Reflection Free Premium" technology that eliminates light reflection without compromising image quality.

Oh Sungtaek, Head of Marketing Communication at LG Electronics Korea Sales Division, stated, “The unmatched picture quality of LG OLED, capable of capturing the artist’s delicate colors and dynamic movements without distortion, will deliver a differentiated customer experience created through the synergy of technology and art.”
