Purchases KRW 2.65 Billion Worth of Shares in One Month
Ahn Cheol-soo, a member of the People Power Party and founder of the security company AhnLab, has purchased an additional 10,000 shares of AhnLab stock.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's disclosure system on July 29, Assemblyman Ahn acquired 10,000 common shares of AhnLab through on-market purchases between July 22 and July 29, spending approximately KRW 533 million.
This comes just one month after his first purchase of AhnLab shares in 14 years at the end of last month, marking another round of buying. As a result, Ahn's total AhnLab stock holdings increased from 1.9 million shares to 1.91 million shares.
Previously, Ahn purchased 40,000 shares of AhnLab on the market for KRW 2.118 billion between June 30 and July 6.
Regarding the recent share purchase, AhnLab stated that it was an investment based on Assemblyman Ahn's personal judgment, and that it is difficult to confirm the specifics behind the decision.

Ahn established the Ahn Cheol-soo Computer Virus Research Institute in 1995. The company was listed on KOSDAQ in 2001 and changed its name from Ahn Cheol-soo Research Institute to AhnLab in 2012.
