Incheon International Airport Corporation has launched support activities for vulnerable local residents in line with recent changes to the local administrative districts.

View original imageThe Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 29th that, to commemorate the launch of Yeongjong District, it had delivered heatwave preparedness supply kits to 300 single-senior households within the district.
This initiative was carried out on the 28th under the name “Healthy Summer Survival and Summer Santa Volunteer Activity.” The event was organized to provide daily necessities to elderly residents who may be especially vulnerable to the summer heat and to promote a culture of sharing within the local community. Around 70 volunteers, including employees of the corporation and representatives of the Incheon City and Yeongjong District Volunteer Centers, participated in the event.
The volunteers delivered the heatwave preparedness kits, which they assembled themselves, to each household. The kits were composed of items such as cooling mats to help improve sleeping environments during tropical nights and protect the health of the elderly.
