Kenkorea Aerospace Signs 10-Year Long-Term Supply Agreement with KAI
Kenkorea Aerospace has signed a long-term supply agreement (LTA) with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) for the supply of engine parts for Airbus aircraft.
According to Kenkorea on July 29, this agreement represents a long-term partnership of over 10 years, lasting until December 31, 2036. The two companies have agreed to pursue various win-win cooperation initiatives, extending beyond a mere transactional relationship to encompass collaboration from the product's initial development stage through to mass production stabilization. Through this, they aim to establish a stable aircraft parts supply chain and contribute to enhancing the manufacturing competitiveness of the domestic aerospace industry.
Kenkorea plans to manufacture and supply 100% of the engine parts for the Airbus A350 and A320NEO—the flagship models for which KAI has secured supply contracts. The company is fully devoted to building dedicated production lines by making significant facility investments and securing specialized personnel at its Sanam Plant in Sacheon, in order to ensure a stable supply of volumes. By focusing on technology development and production capabilities, Kenkorea intends to begin full-scale delivery of the volumes required by customers in the second half of next year.
