National Museum of Korea Offers Free Admission to "Amazing Thailand: Exhibition of Masterpieces of Thai Art" for Five Days

The National Museum of Korea announced on July 29 that it will offer free admission to the special exhibition, "Amazing Thailand: Exhibition of Masterpieces of Thai Art," for five days until August 2 in celebration of Thai Language Day (July 29).
This event is being held to commemorate Thai Language Day, designated by the Thai government to preserve and promote the Thai language. The exhibition highlights representative cultural heritage items that are rarely assembled in one place even in Thailand, including a replica of the "Ramkhamhaeng Inscription," which records the fact that King Ramkhamhaeng of the Sukhothai dynasty, the third monarch, created the Thai script in 1292.
The exhibition runs until September 6 in Special Exhibition Room 1 at the National Museum of Korea.

Yoo Hongjun, Director of the National Museum of Korea, stated, "Just as Korea celebrates Hangeul Day, Thailand celebrates Thai Language Day as a way of maintaining pride in their language. I hope that this opportunity for free admission allows more visitors to enjoy these representative cultural heritages, which are otherwise difficult to see together even in Thailand."
