Sampyo Industry Holds Demonstration of Specialty Concrete for Heavy Rain and Heat Resistance
Performance Verification of BLUECON RAIN OK and Keep Slump
Sampyo Industry announced on July 29 that it held a performance verification demonstration for construction industry professionals at the S&I Center Sampyo Technology Research Institute in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, showcasing the rain-pour concrete "BLUECON RAIN OK" and high-temperature resistant concrete "BLUECON Keep Slump."

"BLUECON Keep Slump" is a product developed to maintain workability even after prolonged exposure to high temperatures. It is characterized by maintaining more than 2.5 times the workability of regular concrete in conditions where the daily average temperature exceeds 35 degrees Celsius or transportation time takes longer than four hours.
During the subsequent "BLUECON RAIN OK" demonstration, a simulated member water immersion test was conducted to replicate real rainy conditions. Concrete was poured into a mock structure measuring 0.5 meters by 0.5 meters, recreating rainfall of over 5 millimeters per hour, to verify whether the concrete could maintain its quality without material segregation or loss of strength even under rainy conditions.
An official from a major construction company who attended the demonstration said, "It was meaningful to be able to check the product performance firsthand," adding, "We expect that the practice of mixing water at the site when workability drops will decrease, and that more reliable construction will be possible even during rainy weather."
