According to Netflix on July 29, 'True Education' has reached 60.2 million views (calculated by dividing total viewing hours by running time) within eight weeks of its release, making it the tenth most popular non-English language series of all time. As a result, Korean works make up four out of the top ten non-English titles, nearly half the list.

The narrative of retribution, depicting escalating conflicts inside and outside schools, has resonated with international audiences, according to multiple reviews.
